MADONNA
Inspired by the song “Madonna” by Beauty School Dropout, this project was built around the lyrics:
“Everybody wants a rock star
’Til they got one
She only hangs with models
But she’s not one”

These lyrics stood out to me because of their commentary on celebrity, image, and the desire to be associated with a certain lifestyle. I wanted to translate that idea into a studio setting that felt like a party captured in real time.
The goal was to make the images feel like candid moments from an event while still using intentional, professional lighting. I wanted the lighting and composition to emphasize the energy of nightlife and party culture while creating a polished editorial look.
Visually, I drew inspiration from the typical LA influencer and rock-star aesthetic, confident, flashy, and slightly cocky. The final images combine the atmosphere of a party with the controlled environment of a studio to create a sense of spontaneity while maintaining a strong visual direction.
